    • Needing two wins on the last day of the NVL season to secure second place, Boathouse started the day with a disappointing loss against East Midlands Lions. The final game of the season was against local rivals, Leeds. The latter started the match on a high, full with confidence after winning the other encounter of the day. At half way in the final set, Leeds had a 3 point lead (8-5). Boathouse came back to draw 9 all. This was close, nobody wanted to lose. The match was there for the taking at 11 all. Enter Steve Kaye with four excellent serves, the last one a service ace, to win Boathouse the match. This meant that Boathouse finished the season 3rd in the league and also the only other team apart from the League winners, University of Birmingham, to have beaten all the teams in the league at least once. A big thank you to all players, coaches, supporters, referees and helpers.
